How to reset your iTouch (iPod touch)?
Here are some tips for you to reset your iTouch (iPod touch).
Please Try:
1. Charge your iPod touch.
2. Press and hold the Home button until the application you were using quits, about 6 seconds.
3. Turn off iPod touch and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple icon appears.
4. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If your iPod touch is still freeze, try:
1. From the Home screen choose Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. All your preferences are reset, but your data and media are left untouched.
Note: The following process will delete all your iPod touch files such as music, video, contact, etc. So it's important to backup your iTouch data before the following attempt. (See How to backup iTouch data like music, video, etc. files to computer?)
2. If that doesn't work, erase all content on iPod touch. From the Home screen choose Settings -> General -> Reset -> "Erase All Content and Settings." All your preferences are reset, and all your data and media are removed from iPod touch.
